Customizing Package Fields
Configure which fields are required, optional, or hidden on the receive and deliver forms
Overview
Every facility is different. Field Configuration lets admins control which fields appear on the receive and deliver forms — and whether they are required, optional, or hidden. For example, a small office might hide the sender field to speed up receiving, while a hospital might require it for compliance.
How to configure fields
Go to Admin → Field Configuration. You will see a list of configurable fields (carrier, sender, recipient, photo, notes, etc.) with a toggle for each: Required, Optional, or Hidden. Changes apply immediately to all operators in your facility.
What each setting means
Required: the field must be filled in before the form can be submitted. Optional: the field is shown but can be left blank. Hidden: the field does not appear on the form at all. Hidden fields are skipped entirely — they do not slow down the workflow.
Default settings
By default, all fields are set to their recommended values. If you have not customized field configuration, the system uses sensible defaults. You can always reset to defaults from the configuration page.
Tips
- Hide fields you never use to speed up the receive flow
- Required fields are validated on both the form and the server — no one can skip them
- Changes take effect immediately for all operators in the facility
- Field configuration is per-facility — each location can have different settings
