Notification Settings
Control which notifications are sent to recipients and how — email, in-app, SMS, Slack, and Teams
Overview
PackageTrack Pro notifies recipients across up to 5 channels when their packages arrive or are delivered. Email and in-app are built in. SMS, Slack, and Teams require a one-time setup in the Integrations page.
Notification types
Package Received: sent the moment a package is logged at your facility. Package Delivered: sent when you hand it off to the recipient. Package Reminder: sent automatically for packages that have been sitting unclaimed, to reduce pile-ups.
Direct-to-recipient channels
Email, SMS, and in-app notifications go directly to the individual whose package arrived. Email is on by default. SMS requires a Twilio integration and a phone number on file for the recipient. In-app alerts appear in the notification bell for recipients who have a PackageTrack Pro account.
Facility-wide channels
Slack and Microsoft Teams post to a shared channel in your workspace — not to individual recipients. These are best for mailroom staff who want a live feed of incoming packages without opening the app. Configure them in Admin → Integrations.
Individual recipient preferences
Each recipient can control their own notification preferences from their profile. They can turn off email or SMS notifications if they prefer. Admins can also manage recipient notification settings from the Recipients page.
Tips
- Email is always on by default — no setup needed
- SMS, Slack, and Teams each require a one-time setup in Admin → Integrations
- Slack and Teams post to your facility channel, not to individual recipients
- If recipients are not getting emails, check that their email address is correct and see the email troubleshooting guide
